La Jolie Bulle is a bilingual Home Nursery in the heart of New Cross, a small, warm and nurturing setting where children feel safe, happy and genuinely cared for.
Our Jolie Bulle, "Pretty Bubble", is a joyful, supportive space where children can play, explore, discover and flourish during their early years.
Our vision is to help children grow into confident, kind and curious little people. We encourage creativity, social skills, respect for others and a love of the natural world.
Being small allows us to truly know each child, their personality, interests and strengths, and build close relationships with their families, creating a warm, multicultural community.
Our Home to Home approach combines the reassurance of a homely environment with friendships, experiences and many learning opportunities.
Surrounded by parks and playgrounds, we are ideally located for exploring nature and for parents commuting across London.
The only line that reads a little oddly is the second one. "Our Jolie Bulle, 'Pretty Bubble'," doesn't make it clear that it's a translation. "La Jolie Bulle, meaning 'Pretty Bubble', is a joyful…" would fix that.

La Jolie Bulle specialises in caring for children under 5, allowing us to provide attentive, personalised support for their overall development.
We nurture fine and gross motor skills while encouraging everyday achievements, such as putting on coats and shoes and taking on small responsibilities. These experiences build confidence, pride and a growing sense of independence.
Our days are thoughtfully structured so every child, including babies, feels cared for and involved. While our youngest develop through everyday experiences such as walking, painting and dancing, older children enjoy stimulating pre-school activities.
Our four-year-olds leave us confident, emotionally secure and well prepared for Reception.
Kindness, empathy and friendship, are also our core values and are nurtured every day resulting in our children feeling genuine care and respect for each other. The bonds between children and their families make us proud of the strong, supportive community we have built.
We also support families through early potty training, making this important transition as positive and relaxed as possible.
FrenchLa Jolie Bulle is a bilingual setting where children are mainly spoken to in French, creating a natural, immersive experience for those discovering French or reinforcing what they hear and use at home.
Bilingualism supports children’s developing brains, strengthening communication skills and cognitive flexibility. It also opens a window to other cultures, encouraging curiosity, open-mindedness and inclusion.
Children quickly develop an understanding of French, progressing from recognising familiar words such as “les nuages”, “le soleil” and “la mer” to forming sentences and conversations.
Through daily French sessions, songs, stories, games and interactive activities, children build vocabulary while having fun.
French is woven into everyday life through subjects children love, including animals, food, toys, daily routines and expressing feelings, making it meaningful and relevant.
English is used whenever necessary, and while ensuring we fully support the EYFS curriculum.

We believe that children learn best when they are having fun. Our days thoughtfully balance adult-led activities with child-led exploration, giving children the freedom to follow their curiosity, make choices, use their imagination and become deeply absorbed in what they are doing.
Through play, children build physical and cognitive abilities, learn to communicate and collaborate, develop problem-solving skills, and gradually build emotional resilience, independence and confidence.
From the very beginning, children discover and make sense of the world through play. Every game, story, conversation, construction, painting session, imaginary adventure or outdoor exploration is an opportunity to learn something new.
We carefully observe and assess each child’s development and share their progress with families, allowing us to celebrate their achievements and provide the right support at every stage. Daily reports, alongside annual full assessments, are shared with parents so they can be part of their child’s learning journey.
CreativityCreativity
Creativity gives children a way to communicate feelings and ideas they may not yet have the words for. We value their individual perspectives and celebrate their efforts, helping them feel heard, appreciated and proud of what they create.
Through painting, drawing, cutting, building and experimenting with different materials, children are free to express themselves and create something that is truly their own using their point of view, curiosity, feelings and imagination.
Our group projects also give children of all ages opportunities to share ideas, learn from one another and contribute to something bigger than themselves, discovering the joy of creating together.
Music, singing, dancing, dressing up and imaginative free play are part of everyday life. Children invent stories, explore different roles and build their own little worlds, where friendships grow, ideas flourish and they discover more about themselves and one another.
We follow their curiosity, give their ideas room to grow and let them show us the world through their eyes.
NatureContact with nature is essential to life at La Jolie Bulle and, is one of the most powerful ways children learn. Through walks by the river, observing wildlife such as ducklings in spring and squirrels chasing each other through the trees, autumn hunts, discovering life cycles of ladybirds or butterflies, comparing flowers, observing snails and so much more.
We see every moment spent outdoors as a precious opportunity to slow down, connect, and where children learn to notice Nature changing, developing their curiosity, patience and a deep sense of care for the world around them and our Planet.
In a time where children are increasingly surrounded by screens and technology, giving them the freedom to explore, observe, touch and experience the natural world has never been more important.
La Jolie Bulle has a large garden, where children can learn to ride a balance bike and a scooter, run, jump and climb, play in the sand, get their hands dirty and discovering the joy of doing a little gardening.

Always ready with a kind word and a warm cuddle, Mamy Yveline’s energy is calm, gentle, and reassuring. She provides essential emotional support, making every child feel cherished and secure.

• Fees do not apply when La Jolie Bulle is closed

30-hour government funding must be discussed and agreed
Settling in:
We offer a four-day gentle settling-in period. Our settling-in process has been very successful, and both children and parents feel safe, calm, and ready for their first full day.
